1st day, Jake, and Margaritas...

The first day of training went great! I was going to take a picture this morning for my "first day" but I was a bit behind... lol Maybe tomorrow since I don't go in until 2pm. You would be amazed at what you go through to be a server at Macaroni Grill! You've got homework and tests... every night for 1 week! Maybe I'll get a picture in my all-black attire tomorrow. lol I'm definitely NOT used to all-black.

So my fiancee and I put an ad on Craigslist to find a new loving home for our precious little puppy. I got a huge response in emails... and I only replied to one. Well, now I don't think I can give him up. :( We originally listed him due to our work schedules and we're afraid we won't be able to give him enough attention but now, I'm thinking we can work through that. I haven't made the final decision with the woman who wants him yet... but I'm running out of time. I just wish I personally knew someone who'd take him so I can still see him.

I'll let you know what we end up deciding...

My FAVORITE margaritas ever are from Taco Cabana. {frozen of course!} Just the right combination of ingredients. [and they're only $3.50!]

I like strong enough drinks to be able to "feel" it but NOT to taste the tequila. Does anyone have a fabulous frozen margarita recipe to share?? :)

like I said... to feel it, but not taste it.

Yay! Now I finally have cable & internet after 4 longggggg days of nothing but movies 24/7. [or 24/4... to be technically correct].

So, I officially start my first day of work tomorrow at the Macaroni Grill.

Our First Christmas

Big changes ahead!

Hello dolls! Some exciting news around these parts...

Justin & I are re-engaged. :) He gave me a new engagement ring to symbolize our fresh start and learning from the past... but leaving it there too. I LOVE it. It's so me. [you can see it in the picture of me and Dierks below]

We haven't set a date yet because we're not rushing into anything at this point. We'll know when the time is right. We're both very happy. :)

We've both learned that we need to depend on each other and not share our problems with other people. [you get bad advice that way] We've learned to be open to what the other has to say, good or bad... and we've got to spread our wings and fly: together.

On to the next big news... We've got a new apartment! We move in on January 1st. What a great way to start the year! It's a 1 bedroom, 2 story apartment.

This is a picture of the model one... but we have the spiral staircase in our apartment too! I love love love the stairs :) It leads to a study/gameroom upstairs divided by a half-wall looking over the living room.

And lastly...

I got a job at Macaroni Grill! It's over in the town where we're moving... and I'm all set up to start training the week we move. Yay!

My Christmas Wish-List

I am one of the few girls these days that has very few clothes. My fiancee has more clothes than me... it's sad that he gets the larger side of the closet. lol I move a lot and I had dragging clothes I never wear back and forth, so for every move... I usually make a donation to Goodwill to create some space. Now, my closet has dwindled down to one tiny little rack of clothing. [1/2 of these clothes are tshirts I find at thrift stores and/or other comfy clothes I don't consider "stylish"]

So when my mother asked what I wanted for Christmas... I said CLOTHES. I need clothes. lol [You know you need clothes when your mother (and aunts or whoever) sees your closet and says "Honey, is this all you have?"] lol

Here's the question: Brown or Black? When asked "Which do you wear more?"... my answer is about the same! My mother made a good point and said that black will go with just about anything... but I love brown too. I want to be able to wear the jacket often though. Advice?
