5 Tips - Getting out the door in the mornings FAST and FABULOUS

via
We've all done it. You sleep through your alarm, hit snooze 1 (or 2 or 3 or 4) too many times, or something like this that induces havoc to our morning routine. Here are 5 tips to help you walk out the door fabulous AND fast!
....................................................................................

1. Pick your outfit the night before
I am THE worst about standing in my closet staring blankly at the abundant clothing and thinking how I have nothing to wear. This is definitely detrimental to my morning routine! Instead - set aside your outfit for the following day the night before. Getting dressed in the morning will be a cinch!

2. Work your natural texture OR "style" your hair the night before so all you need the morning of are a few touch ups
Ok, I have naturally curly hair. If I'm going to style my hair straight (or wavy using a flat iron) I style my hair the night before, sleep on it, and touch up in the morning. This saves me SO much time! On the other hand - go au natural for rushed mornings. Work your natural texture or at the very least... you can resort to a classic bun to tame the mane. (I practice that last one religiously)

3. Have a "signature" makeup look ready
Keep your "go-to" makeup in a separate makeup bag from the rest. Know your favorite colors and simplest looks because this will be your go-to routine for those late mornings! If you want to take this a step further, practice applying a full face of make up in under 5 minutes! (You can do it! I've seen beauty gurus on YouTube record this challenge and it's pretty interesting! Search some for inspiration)

4. Keep your shoes, purse, etc by the door
This may drive my fiance crazy but I always leave my purse and shoes by the front door. This way, when I'm rushing out the door those last few items I grab are right there waiting for me. :)

5. Have a grab-n-go breakfast
Have breakfast bars or whatever your choice ready to grab and go! Preferably, choose a breakfast you can eat (or drink) in the car. Cereal bars and breakfast shakes are perfect! Like fruit in the morning? Have it cut up and ready to go in a ziplock bag waiting in the fridge. You don't have to skip breakfast if you do a little planning!

SUPER Affordable Fashion - H&M

Apparently, I have been living under a rock the past few years. However, in my defense - we didn't have an H&M in Dallas until recently. I've heard a lot about the brand so tonight I decided to check out the website just out of curiosity. WOW. This place is awesome :)

Do you know of any under-the-radar fabulous (frugal) fashion finds?

Ever heard of Birchbox?

Birchbox is a monthly membership you can sign up for that sends you high end, deluxe size samples for only $10/month! (I'm talking "samples" that will last you weeks!) I'm addicted to it! Honestly, it's like Christmas in your mailbox every month. :) On occasion, I've received a FULL SIZE product (i.e., an organic chapstick worth $12!) These are the same samples you can buy at Sephora for about $10 EACH. You get 5 deluxe samples a month plus 1 "freebie" surprise.

Go to the Birchbox website to learn more.

**I want to note that I am NOT being paid to write this blog post. I'm not receiving any free products or anything... I just really love this monthly subscription!

Do you know of any other monthly beauty subscriptions like this?? Please share!!

OOTD - Casual Thursday

Gray shirt - Ross $5
Jeans - Marshalls $25
Shoes - Goodwill (brand new Target pumps) $8
Necklace - made by me

I am so excited because my company announced this week that we're allowed to wear jeans from May to the end of August!

Ok so I have gained 15lbs since I started my office job 9 months ago. I have GOT to get this weight off! (Maybe I need to enlist the help of Miss Elizabeth - Personal Trainer (her personal blog)!) I've got a zumba DVD but I just need to use it! I've got no motivation :(

Loving! - Black Sequin Dress

So I was looking around on the web at some of Kate Middleton's pictures (guilty!) when I came across this photo and fell in LOVE with this dress!!

via google

I found 2 options on Amazon that are AMAZING deals!!

List price - $138 / Amazon price - $15

Dress #2 - Ella Moss

List price - $159 / Amazon price - $52-$75

If you love the bow (like me!) you can easily buy a silk ribbon and tie it around your waist the same way. Voila! lol

I loved Kate's wedding look! She was stunning. The dress was beautiful and perfect for a princess. I was amazed to hear that she did her own makeup! I don't know if I'd do my own makeup knowing a billion people would be watching! lol I know her wedding and gown are splatter all over the web so I didn't want to add to it.
