Ahh, at last... my True Match :)

I finally found a foundation that I love! It's Loreal's True Match in N1 (Soft Ivory).
I was flipping through my Allure from last month and Loreal had an advertisement in there with a removable "color-matching" card that you placed against the top of your wrist to find your shade (and whichever shade disappeared was your match). I was surprised when the lightest neutral shade disappeared and my first thought was that this stuff was going to make my face look like a ghost! But I decided to give it a try because also included in this advertisement was a $2 coupon. :) *winning*
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. This color disappeared right into my skin providing a nice, even coverage!
2. It is not cake-y AT ALL. Honestly, this is only foundation I've tried where it literally feels like my skin!
3. You can definitely build the coverage by adding layers. However, I prefer one layer to provide a nice, even canvas to begin with and using concealer to hide imperfections. This is how I've found to acheive the most natural look.
4. It's inexpensive ($7-$9 depending where you purchase)! So it's not a big deal to buy one for winter and one for the summer. Plus, you can mix the two when you are transitioning into season. (You know, where you're in between tan and pale in the Spring and Fall) lol

5. I have sensitive and oily-prone skin. I only break out when something irritates my skin (which is why I research for about a month before buying a product meant for my face lol). So far this foundation hasn't broken me out at all.

Strawberries & Chocolate Mint Cookies

You have got to try fudge-mint cookies (like Thin Mints) adorned with fresh strawberries!

By no means is this a healthy snack but hey... +1 for the fruit, right?

I'm still researching foundations. Let me know your suggestions! FYI - I have oily, sensitive skin. I can't use most mineral makeup because it contains bismuth oxychloride which irritates my skin. I'm considering trying Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation but having a hard time swallowing the price :/ I prefer a foundation under $25 but I'm open to any of your suggestions!!

What I'm loving, hating, and just plain confused about! PLUS reviews!

I am loving this blush by Eyes Lips Face! It's called Candid Coral and it's a pink blush with flecks of gold. The pigment is strong and the color is just gorgeous. I've been wearing it EVERY DAY :)

elf deal - $2 shipping!

....................................................................................................................

This stuff is seriously heavy duty. It most definitely does it's job. I like the product but I'm not in love with it... I've probably only used it a couple of times but for only $7 or so, it's worth having in your arsenal. lol You can find Hard Candy products at Walmart.

...........................................................................................................................

I have a love/hate relationship with this product. I love the way it makes my skin feel and it lasts all day for me BUT I think it makes me breakout just a little bit... I think! I'm not 100% sure because I have very unusual skin that is way over dramatic but I think I'm starting to see a trend that when I wear this primer for a few days in a row... I'll see a breakout or two soon after. Which completely SUCKS because I love it!

So, if you have tolerant skin I highly recommend this product. Unfortunately for me, I have extremely sensitive skin so I can't use any anti-aging products (non that I've found yet) and most foundations (especially mineral) and I can ONLY wash my face with Johnson's Baby Soap. Seriously, it sucks. So if you have a normal person's epidermis - buy this stuff :)

Now on to this dillydad! lol I bought this sponge at Ulta (I believe they called it the "Super Blender") for about $5 after watching/reading so many overzealous positive reviews.

The fact of the matter is that it's a sponge. It's not a miracle worker. It's ok. I found it sucked up more of my foundation than it applied to my face. When I splashed a bit of water on it first it seems to work better - a technique I'll use on days I'm not wanting so much coverage. Maybe I'm using it wrong but I'm not impressed. But like I said... it's a sponge, not a miracle worker.

I'm looking into new foundations - I want to know what YOUR favorite foundation product is???

Closet Organization - I'm finally done (I think) & some tips!

I finally got around to cleaning the closet! It's not perfect by any means but I did do some major organizing :)

Before:

After

Just a glimpse:

Jewelry, shoes, & other pretty things:
*I highly recommend the Lauren Conrad "Style" book!

I arranged his side from pants to short sleeves to long sleeves...

All of my shirts - arranged from no sleeve to long sleeve then T-shirts in the very back...

Purses, cardigans, sweaters, scarves...

Intimates, PJs, some of his clothes, and his shoes:

His shoes:

I love how nice this looks! (I'm working on building my shoe collection... hehe)

The mood finally struck tonight and reorganized the closet.  A few of my tips:

1. Organize your shirts no sleeve to longest sleeve.
- You'll never be able to find that cute, sleeveless shirt buried behind the sweaters!

2. Shoes as art? Leave em' where you can see em'!
- This way, you'll see all of your shoe options every day...

3. Fold your sweaters.
- You don't want those pesky little hanger humps on your shoulders.

Basically - Try to keep things accessible. I plan to create some of my favorite outfits from my wardrobe and keep a photo journal so I know what's in there!

OOTD - Wedding planning w/ the in-laws!

Tonight my fiancĂ© & I met my future in-laws for dinner and a little wedding planning. We are so blessed to have both of our parents wanting to make our day as special as possible and willing to do whatever they can! I'm so excited about the journey ahead :)

Tomorrow I plan to get up and do a little thrift store shopping... Hopefully I'll have some new items to share with you all!

Feeling uninspired - but I discovered an amazing new style blogger!

I am SO over winter. Finally we have some gorgeous weather here in Dallas and that even depresses me because I'm stuck inside an office building all day long. Do you ever get in a funk that you have to literally crawl out of?? That's how I feel!

I'm uninspired.

I throw on the same clothes everyday for work. (Ok, not literally the "same" clothes but definitely the same outfits every week lol) My legs disappear next to anything pale or of an ivory shade. I throw my hair up in the same tight bun every morning. I need a change!!

I was introduced to J's Everyday Fashion through Technical Support. Her style is impeccable and what I like to consider "so me." lol She's the perfect style inspiration for myself! You've definitely got to go check out her blog. She's all about style on a budget ($250/month to be exact!).

I plan to get myself a bottle of self-tanner and start really working on my daily attire.

Wish me luck!

Let me know what you think about J's Everyday Fashion! Also, I'd love to know who your favorite style bloggers are... Who exercises your favorite style?
