Hey guys! It's late so I'm gonna make this one quick... I haven't been able to write in a while!
I've had a few (stressful) surprises lately and I'm going to take them as they come! Rolling with the punches! BUT because of all these changes are happening in my life all of a sudden, I think it's a sign that I'm ready to move one to another phase of life. I'll be applying for my first "real" job soon, I'm graduating with my BA in Psychology in 2 weeks, and I'll be searching for my first house with my fiance' :) It's going to be just us... and our pup Dierks of course! A lot of these decisions have been abrubt, and not by choice, but it's what's best for me.
I'm still trying to work on more jewelry but I just haven't had the time! I've been a little down about my shop because I'm not having much success in sales :( This darn economy! lol I have been able to get a few things up though... go check it out!

I know the basics on a sewing machine now... I've attempted a few articles of clothing with no luck. Today, that will change! (I hope) I'm about to embark on a new journey of making a skirt. I figure, start simple. I've got my fabric, I've got my thread, I've got a pattern (that I probably won't use because I hate patterns because they are way too confusing and I'd rather just do the math)... so here goes.

So... my fiance and I did the first "photoshoot" of my jewelry and it turned out WONDERFUL! He is so talented :) Check out some of the pics:
And of course, he couldn't JUST take pictures of jewelry! He got these too...
Our lil' Dierks =)

And me putting on one of the necklaces.
Well, I've got a paper & a project to work on now. Enough procrastinating for me.
"I run, my life. Or is it running me?
Run from my past, I run too fast.
Or too slow, it seems.
When lies become the truth, that's when I run to you."
Ever since I finally actually listened to the words of this particular part of the verse of the song "I Run to You" by Lady Antebellum, I can't stop playing this song. I have so many feelings, emotions, etc that I never quite know how to put into words and I find that music solves this dilemma for me. :)
Moving on, yesterday I almost lost my poor Dierks! Somehow, the side gate was left open and he ran to the neighbor's house and they sent him back over here. I thank Jesus for such good neighbors who actually cared whether he came back home, rather than not caring if he wandered off!
But he came back :) This is our little bundle of joy. (He's eating a softball right now, I think.)
Lately, I've been a little overwhelmed with all this graduation stuff. I've got so many things due in the coming weeks. I am VERY close to just taking my degree and running but some of my family has already booked their rooms for Corpus (and they're from Dallas) just for my graduation. (So I guess I have to walk the stage) I can't wait for May 16th to be here... just because it'll be over... for a little bit at least.

Welcome to my blog... I will try to keep things interesting for you :)
Right now I am laying in bed, yes at 10:30am, enjoying my morning coffee, my fiance is strumming his guitar, as always, and my son (well, mini-daschund) is laying cuddled to my legs. :) It's a beautiful morning.
This weekend was the most fun I've had in a while. If you want to know a song that will get the crowd going at a karoke bar... it's "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-a-lot. ;) Figures, the first song I ever karoke is "Baby Got Back". 2 of my girlfriends got up there with me and that made it really fun. I'm sure we're known now as the "Baby Got Back" girls but it was worth it.
I'm continuously listing new items (like the necklace shown) in my shop on Etsy so go check it out!
